Mike Walsh Fellowships
The Mike Walsh Fellowships have been established by Mike Walsh, a former television presenter and theatre producer, for students/graduates in the arts and entertainment industry to enhance their experiences in Australia and overseas. History of the Fellowships The Fellowships began in 1996 and were limited to applicants from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) as Sydney was where Walsh's business interests were. As his business interests grew further afield the applicants for Fellowships eligibility was widened to include of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAPPA) and the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Mike Walsh (TV Host)
Michael Hayden Walsh (born 5 March 1938) is an Australian former radio and television presenter, currently focused on owning and operating live theatres, and theatre production both locally and the United Kingdom. Walsh was the first "King of Australian Daytime TV", with his program ''The Mike Walsh Show'', featuring both local and international guests, including Hollywood performers. Early life Walsh was born in Corowa, New South Wales. He completed his education at Xavier College in Melbourne, before studying pharmacy and arts at Melbourne University where he was heavily involved in student theatre revues. Joshua Lawson (born 22 July 1981) is an Australian actor and filmmaker best known for his role as Doug Gugghenheim in ''House of Lies'', Tate in '' Superstore'' and as Kano in the 2021 film ''Mortal Kombat''. Kip Williams is an Australian theatre and opera director. Williams is the current Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company. His appointment at age 30 made him the youngest artistic director in the company's history. Biography Williams has been a resident artist with Sydney Theatre Company (STC) since 2012. John Sheedy
John Sheedy (born 1959) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a goalkeeper with the Tipperary senior team. Born in Portroe, County Tipperary, Sheedy first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team, before later joining the under-21 hurling and junior teams. He made his senior debut during the 1983 championship. Sheedy enjoyed a brief career with Tipperary, however, he enjoyed little success. At club level Sheedy enjoyed a lengthy career with Portroe.
