Michael Smith (born October 13, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for Astoria Bydgoszcz of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). He played college basketball for the Columbia Lions and the Michigan Wolverines. He was the 2019–20 Ivy League scoring champion and holds the Big Ten men's basketball tournament single-game assists record (15). Early life and high school career As an eighth-grader in 2012, Smith led Burr Ridge Middle School in Burr Ridge, Illinois to an Illinois Elementary School Association state championship. He was a four-year varsity basketball starter at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois. Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball
The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Michigan. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in NCAA Division I, Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Michigan Wolverines, Wolverines play home basketball games at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Kyle Andrew Smith (born June 15, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who is the men's head coach for the Washington State Cougars men's basketball, Washington State Cougars of the Pac-12 Conference. Prior to joining the Cougars, Smith was the head coach at Columbia University and then at the University of San Francisco. In his final season at Columbia, he led the team to a CIT Championship over UC Irvine. Mid-major is a term used in American NCAA Division I college sports, particularly men's basketball, to refer to athletic conferences that are not among the "Power Five conferences" (the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC), which are alternatively referred to as "high majors". The term "mid-major" was coined in 1977 by Jack Kvancz, the head coach of men's basketball team at Catholic University. The Dartmouth Big Green men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. The program is classified in the NCAA Division I and the team competes in the Ivy League. They play their home games at Leede Arena and are coached by David McLaughlin. Corey Antoine Maggette (; born November 12, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player who played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He became an analyst for Fox Sports. High school and college career Maggette excelled at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois where he was an All-American in basketball. The Chicago Catholic League (CCL) is a high school athletic conference based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. All of the schools are part of the Illinois High School Association, the governing body for Illinois scholastic sports. Riverside Brookfield High School (RBHS) is a secondary school located directly between Riverside, Illinois, and Brookfield, Illinois, which educates grades 9-12.
