Mike Purcell (rugby Union)
Mike Purcell (born December 6, 1951) played wing for the United States national rugby union team from 1980 to 1987, earning 14 caps and scoring 4 tries. The U.S. Rugby Foundation inducted Purcell into the United States Rugby Hall of Fame in 2015. Wing (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. The 1987 Rugby World Cup was the first Rugby World Cup.
