Mike Olscamp
Michael Robert Olscamp is a politician in the province of New Brunswick, Canada, and a retired teacher. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2006 election as the Progressive Conservative MLA for Tantramar. He did not win re-election in 2014. Biography He graduated from Campbellton Composite High School and then achieved journeyman status as an electrician. In 1972–73, he enrolled in the Vocational Teacher Training Program at the New Brunswick Institute of Technology in Moncton. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Education from the University of Moncton. Olscamp taught vocational education at Tantramar Regional High School in Sackville. After teaching he was vice-principal of the high school in the 1980s. He was then recruited as Director of Inmate Programs at minimum security Westmorland Institution in Dorchester. The Mount Allison Mounties are the varsity athletic teams that represent Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. The Mounties sports teams play their matches at Alumni Field which seats 2,500. Athletics and recreations The Mount Allison University Athletics & Recreation is led by Pierre Arsenault. Dorchester, New Brunswick
Dorchester is a formerly incorporated village and the shire town of Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. It is named for Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester, an 18th-century Governor-General of the old Province of Quebec. It is located on the eastern side of the mouth of the lush Memramcook River valley near the river's discharge point into Shepody Bay. Dorchester is an English-speaking community but it is adjacent to French-speaking Acadian areas farther up the Memramcook River valley. On 1 January 2023, Dorchester merged with the town of Sackville and parts of three local service districts to form the new town of Tantramar. Tantramar Regional High School
Tantramar Regional High School, is a Canadian secondary school located in Sackville, New Brunswick. It is home to the Tantramar Wetlands Centre, a program that aims to provide outdoor education for students. The Tantramar Wetlands Centre was founded in 1998, by Ducks Unlimited Canada, the Canadian Wildlife Service, New Brunswick's Department of Natural Resources, the Town of Sackville and the School District, who teamed up to create the wetlands. The Wetlands Centre for 25 years has been maintained and researched by a group of students looking to better their wetlands education as well as teach visiting schools and students about the ecosystem.
