Mike Morgan (boxer)
Mike Morgan is a retired professional middleweight boxer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Professional career Morgan made his professional boxing debut on October 10, 1970 with a four-round points win against 6-2 Chuck Hernandez. Morgan remained unbeaten through five matches, losing for the first time to Frank Foramero in May 1971. Later Morgan would box his way to a draw against 12-5-3 Frank Jiminez, then a win against Jiminez, then 13-7-5. Morgan had run his record to 12-1-2 when he was given the opportunity to fight Rudy Rodriguez for the vacant Minnesota state middleweight championship in August 1973. Morgan would defeat Rodriguez by split decision to gain the title, and then rematched Rodriguez two months later, again winning by split decision. In May 1974 Morgan put his 14-1 record on the line against Rodriguez's younger brother, Rafael Rodriguez, this time fighting for the Minnesota light middleweight title. Mike Rossman
Mike Rossman (born Michael Albert DePiano on July 1, 1955) is an American former professional boxer who was the WBA light heavyweight champion of the world. He is of both Italian and Jewish descent, which led to his monikers "The Kosher Butcher" and "The Jewish Bomber". Life and career Rossman was born in Turnersville, New Jersey, as Michael Albert DePiano. Rossman is his mother's maiden name, which he uses rather than that of his father. Rossman's father was Italian, and his mother Jewish. He is Jewish, and boxed with a Star of David on his shorts. He began boxing at 14 and turned pro on August 10, 1973. Rossman fought Víctor Galíndez for the light heavyweight championship of the world on the undercard of an Ali–Spinks rematch in September 1978. A knockout (abbreviated to KO or K.O.) is a fight-ending, winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, mixed martial arts, karate, some forms of taekwondo and other sports involving striking, as well as fighting-based video games. A full knockout is considered any legal strike or combination thereof that renders an opponent unable to continue fighting. Gary Holmgren
Gary Holmgren is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1974 to 1984. Professional career Holmgren made his professional debut on May 15, 1974, with a first-round knockout win against Milton Buckley in St Paul, Minnesota. His first loss came in only his second fight, a five-round points loss to Bruce Finch, who would go on to make a name for himself as a welterweight contender. Holmgren would follow up that loss with a stretch in which he won 16 of 17 fights, including a decision win against 21-2 Rory O'Shea in 1975. Holmgren's career peaked in January 1983 when he won the Minnesota junior middleweight title by defeating Rafael Rodriguez on points in a ten-rounder. Doug Demmings
Doug Demmings (May 9, 1951 – March 24, 2002) was an American professional boxer who competed from 1973 to 1983. Professional boxing career Demmings' career began in inauspicious fashion with two losses in his first four fights, before he began an unbeaten streak that ran to 19 bouts over three years. Demmings then fought Sugar Ray Seales for the USBA middleweight title, a bout which he lost in a 15-round decision. Demmings would subsequently fight (and lose to) "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Alan Minter, Dwight Davison, Wayne Caplett (three times), Alex Blanchard, and John "The Beast" Mugabi. Alan Scott LeDoux, nicknamed "The Fighting Frenchman," (January 7, 1949 – August 11, 2011) was a politician, professional heavyweight boxer, professional wrestler, and referee. Career Boxing LeDoux began his professional boxing career in 1974. His first boxing match was a knockout victory over Arthur Pullens. LeDoux's final bout in 1983 was a technical knockout loss to Frank Bruno. LeDoux retired from the ring with a record of 33-13-4 (including 22 knockouts). LeDoux's opponents included Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, Gerrie Coetzee, Leon Spinks, Greg Page, Frank Bruno, George Foreman, Mike Weaver, and Larry Holmes.
