Mike Morgan (baseball)
Michael Thomas Morgan (born October 8, 1959) is a former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for 12 different teams over 25 years, and is one of 31 players in baseball history to appear in Major League baseball games in four decades (1978–2002). Upon his retirement, Morgan held the major league record for most major league teams played for (12), but this record was surpassed by Octavio Dotel in 2012 and Edwin Jackson in 2018. Because of this, Morgan was nicknamed "The Nomad" by his teammates due to his constant travel from team to team. Nashville Sounds
The Nashville Sounds are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee, and are named for the city's association with the music industry, specifically the "Nashville sound", a subgenre of country music which originated in the city and became popular in the mid-1950s. Vancouver Canadians
The Vancouver Canadians are a Minor League Baseball team located in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are members of the Northwest League and are affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Canadians play their home games at Nat Bailey Stadium. They are currently the only MiLB team based in Canada. Scott McGregor (left-handed Pitcher)
Scott Houston McGregor (born January 18, 1954) is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He played his entire career in Major League Baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles from to . McGregor was an integral member of the Orioles team that won the 1983 World Series, pitching a complete game shut out to clinch the series victory. Known for constantly changing the speeds of his pitches, McGregor was a 20-game winner in and was named an American League (AL) All-Star in 1981. After his playing career, he became a youth pastor before returning to serve a major league coach. He was most recently the pitching coach for the Aberdeen IronBirds. In 1978, four American baseball players were promoted from amateur baseball to the major leagues, including Arizona State University third baseman Bob Horner, who was selected number one overall by the Atlanta Braves. Edwin Jackson Jr. (born September 9, 1983) is a German-born American former professional baseball pitcher. Octavio Eduardo Dotel Diaz (born November 25, 1973) is a Dominican former professional baseball pitcher. Dotel played for 13 major league teams, the second most teams played for by any player in the history of Major League Baseball (MLB), setting the mark when he pitched for the Detroit Tigers on April 7, 2012, breaking a record previously held by Mike Morgan, Matt Stairs, and Ron Villone. Edwin Jackson broke this record in 2019. Dotel's longest tenure with any one team was the five seasons he spent with the Houston Astros. Playing Major League Baseball in four decades has been attained by only 31 players in the league's history, dating from the 1870s to the present day. Introduction Since 1900 (the first year that a player could play in a "fourth decade"), every completed decade except the 1940s has added at least one player to the list. Outside of skill and durability, a player must usually have some "generational luck" to have started his career in the later years of a decade, so that if he is still playing 21–24 years later, he is playing in the early years of a fourth decade.
