Mike McNeill (American Football)
Mike McNeill (born March 7, 1988) is a former American football tight end. Prior to the Carolina Panthers. McNeill played as tight end for his hometown team, the St. Louis Rams from 2011-2014. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2011 after playing college football at Nebraska. Early years McNeill was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Kirkwood High School in Kirkwood, Missouri from 2002 to 2006, where he was a letterman in football and basketball. He was a captain of the KHS football squad, playing defensive end and tight end alongsidJeremy Maclinwho currently plays wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. 2011 NFL Draft
The 2011 NFL Draft was the 76th installment of the annual NFL Draft, where the franchises of the National Football League select newly eligible football players. Like the 2010 draft, the 2011 draft was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York, over three days: this year, the first round took place on Thursday, April 28, 2011; the second and third rounds took place on Friday, April 29; with the final four rounds on Saturday, April 30, 2011. In sports or activities in the United States, a letterman is a high school or college student who has met a specified level of participation or performance on a varsity team. Kirkwood, Missouri
Kirkwood is an inner-ring western suburb of St. Louis located in St. Louis County, Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the city's population was 27,540. Founded in 1853, the city is named after James P. Kirkwood, builder of the Pacific Railroad through that city. It was the first planned suburb located west of the Mississippi River. Kirkwood High School is a public education, public secondary school in Kirkwood, Missouri, United States. The school is part of the Kirkwood R-7 School District. Dr. Mike Havener started as principal in July 2011. History Kirkwood High School as an academic institution dates back to 1865, when the Kirkwood School District was founded.
