Mike McCullough (golfer)
Michael McCullough (born March 21, 1945) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour, and currently plays on the Champions Tour. McCullough was born in Coshocton, Ohio. He was introduced to golf by his grandfather. He turned pro in 1970 and joined the PGA Tour in 1972. In 401 starts on the PGA Tour and 33 starts on the Nationwide Tour, McCullough never tasted victory. He did finish 2nd at the 1977 Tournament Players Championship. After reaching the age of 50 in March 1995, he joined the Senior PGA Tour (now called the Champions Tour). His first win on the Champions Tour – at the Mexico Senior Classic in 2001 – came just before his 56th birthday. He won the Emerald Coast Classic about a month later, and the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions Championship in 2005. Coshocton, Ohio
Coshocton is a city in and the county seat of Coshocton County, Ohio, United States approximately 63 mi (102 km) ENE of Columbus. The population was 11,216 at the 2010 census. The Walhonding River and the Tuscarawas River meet in Coshocton to form the Muskingum River. Jim Colbert
James Joseph Colbert (born March 9, 1941) is an American professional golfer. Colbert was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He attended Kansas State University, where he finished second in the NCAA golf championships in 1964, before graduating and turning professional in 1965. Colbert won eight times on the PGA Tour, including twice in 1983 when he finished a career best fifteenth on the money list. As a senior Colbert has won 20 tournaments on the Champions Tour, including a senior major championship, the 1993 Senior Players Championship. Colbert has worked as a golf analyst for ESPN and has his own golf course management company based in Pahrump, Nevada. He also helped design a golf course in Manhattan, Kansas, named Colbert Hills, which was ranked by ''Golfweek'' as the best public course in Kansas, and by ''Golf Digest'' as the eighth-best course overall in the state. 1985 PGA Tour Qualifying School Graduates
This is a list of the 1985 PGA Tour Qualifying School graduates. Fifty players earned their 1986 PGA Tour card through Q-School in 1985. The tournament was played over 108 holes at the Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort, West and South courses, in Haines City, Florida. The top 50 players split the $100,000 purse, with the winner earning $15,000. Peter McWhinney lost a six-for-five playoff for the last cards. Burmese golfer Kyi Hla Han was trying to become the second Burmese, after Mya Aye, to make it onto the PGA Tour. However, he was unable to move onto the finals, playing poorly in the final round of his regional qualifying tournament in California. The Players Championship
The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million). The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the major championships and World Golf Championships events, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Masters was started by amateur champion Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts.
