Mike Kelly (Alaska Politician)
Michael Patrick Kelly (May 6, 1942 – December 7, 2016) was a Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 7th District from 2005 until 2011. In the 26th Alaska State Legislature, he served on the Finance Committee, chairing the Corrections and the Natural Resources Finance Subcommittee. He also served on the Fish & Game Finance Subcommittee. Prior to politics Mike Kelly was born on May 6, 1942, in Tacoma, Washington, the oldest of seven children of Halford "Hal" and Helen Kelly. Hal Kelly moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in late 1947; his family moved to Fairbanks the following year. Mike Kelly graduated from Monroe Catholic High School, Monroe High School in 1960. Blockbuster LLC, formerly known as Blockbuster Video, was an American-based provider of home video and video game rental services. Michael Eugene Kelly (6 October 1949 – 22 December 2013) was a dual citizen of the U.S. and Mexico who operated a number of fraudulent resort enterprises and the Avanti Motor Corporation. In 2007, with 23 others, he was accused by the FBI and the United States Attorney's Office of operating an enormous Ponzi scheme that defrauded over a thousand elderly and senior citizens of their retirement money. It was later disclosed that 7,000 victims from throughout the U.S. lost more than $342 million. Fraud charges Kelly was arrested at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on December 22, 2006. He claimed to earn $55,000 a year and had only $48,000 in assets, yet he offered a private jet, four yachts and a race track as collateral at his detention hearing. Michael Kelly (athletic Director)
Michael Kelly is an American college athletics administrator. He is currently the athletic director at the University of South Florida, a position he has held since 2018, as well as a member of the NCAA Division I Council since 2021. Prior to becoming the AD at USF, Kelly served in many high level positions throughout college athletics, including as associate commissioner of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Chief Operating Officer for the College Football Playoff. He is the first person to serve as the president of the Super Bowl host committee for three different communities, doing so for Super Bowl XXXV in Tampa, Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, and Super Bowl XLI in Miami. He was also the executive director for the organizing committee for the 1999 Men's Final Four, which was held in St. Petersburg. Mickey Kelly
Michael Kelly (24 September 1929 – 26 October 2011) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny senior team from 1952 until 1960. Kelly made his first appearance for the team during the 1952 championship and became a regular player over the next decade. During that time he won one All-Ireland winner's medal and three Leinster winner's medals. He captained Kilkenny to the All-Ireland title in 1957. At club level Kelly enjoyed a successful career with Bennettsbridge, winning seven county club championship winners' medals. Playing career Club Kelly played his club hurling with his local Bennettsbridge club and enjoyed much success. Mike Kelly (born January 17, 1960) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and executive. Since 2017, he has served as director of hockey operations of the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League. After an amateur playing career with the Fredericton-based UNB Varsity Reds of the Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union, Kelly joined the Ontario Hockey League's (OHL) London Knights as an assistant coach in 1988. He eventually became the head coach of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires in 1994. He returned to UNB in 1996 as head coach, where lead the team to a University Cup appearance in 1997 and won it in 1998. Michael Kelly (born 1960s) is a former Gaelic footballer who played as goalkeeper for Four Masters and the Donegal county team. Kelly played for Donegal in the 1987 Ulster Senior Football Championship but had trouble establishing himself in other seasons due to the presence of Gary Walsh, who would play as goalkeeper for the county's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship-winning team five years later. Mike Kelly (born 20 November 1967) is an American-Australian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the South East Melbourne Phoenix of the National Basketball League (NBL). He spent the majority of his playing career in the NBL, where he won a championship with the South East Melbourne Magic in 1996 and was a two-time Best Defensive Player selection.
