Mike Everitt (footballer)
Michael Dennis Everitt (born 16 January 1941) is an English former professional football player and manager. As a left back, Everitt made over 200 appearances in the Football League for Northampton Town and he later managed in the Football League, Africa and the Middle East. Playing career Arsenal A left back, Everitt began his career in the youth system at First Division club Arsenal and turned professional in February 1958. He made his professional debut in a 2–0 victory over Fulham on 15 April 1960 and scored his only goal for the club with the winner versus Preston North End on 23 August 1960. He made just 9 appearances for the Gunners and departed Highbury in February 1961. Northampton Town Everitt dropped down to the Fourth Division to join high-flying Northampton Town for a £4,000 fee in February 1961. Leslie Henley (26 September 1922 – 1996) was an English footballer and manager. Career Playing Born in Lambeth, London, Henley started his career with non-league Nunhead during the 1939–40 season before joining Arsenal in September 1940. The County Ground is a cricket venue on Wantage Road in the Abington area of Northampton, England. It is home to Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, and was used by Northampton Town F.C. from 1897 to 1994. The Football League Third Division was the third tier of the English football league system in 1920–21 and again from 1958 until 1992. The Football League Fourth Division was the fourth-highest division in the English football league system from the 1958–59 season until the creation of the Premier League prior to the 1992–93 season. Arsenal Stadium was a football stadium in Highbury, London, which was the home of Arsenal Football Club between 6 September 1913 and 7 May 2006.
