Mike Donovan (musician)
Mike Donovan (born 6 October 1971) is an American, San Francisco, California based musician, best known as the guitarist and singer of Sic Alps (2004-2013). He has also released music by other San Francisco musicians with his Dial Records and Folding Cassettes labels. Donovan is a veteran of several other bands. He was a member of The Ropers, The Church Steps with Chris Douglas, NAM, Big Techno Werewolves, Sounds of the Barbary Coast and Yikes. In October 2013, he released his solo debut ''Wot'' on Drag City. In May 2015, Donovan formed the San Francisco lo-fi supergroup The Peacers, releasing a self-titled debut on July 17, 2015. Sic Alps
Sic Alps were an American garage rock band from San Francisco, California. Formed in 2004 by Mike Donovan and Adam Stonehouse, they released music on Siltbreeze, Drag City, Woodsist and several other independent record labels. After signing with Siltbreeze, the group, at this point a duo consisting of Donovan and Matt Hartman, released ''U.S. EZ'' in 2008. A full-length was released on Drag City early in 2011. Following the band's break-up in 2013, individual members moved on to other projects. Ty (stylized as ty) is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It was founded by Ty Warner in 1986. It designs, develops and sells products, most notably Beanie Babies, exclusively to specialty markets worldwide. Internet First business-to-consumer Website Ty was the first business to produce a direct-to-consumer website designed to engage their market. This is a major contributing factor to the early and rapidly growing popularity of Beanie Babies. Post-punk
Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of punk music that emerged in the late 1970s as musicians departed from punk's traditional elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences.
