Mike Bubbins
Mike Bubbins (born 18 April 1972) is a Welsh comedian, writer and actor. He has appeared in various TV projects as himself and acted in several BBC sitcoms. Bubbins makes regular appearances on radio as a character, a professional superfan for hire, and as himself. He has performed stand-up comedy throughout the UK, supporting Rhod Gilbert and Rich Hall. Bubbins has performed his stand-up show "Retrosexual Male" at the Edinburgh Festival and appeared on ''Stand Up at BBC Wales''. Mike appeared as "The Major" in the 2017 Deep Purple video for "Johnny's Band". Early life He was born in Barry, South Wales, and attended Barry Boys' Comprehensive. Although he doesn't like to mention it, Mike lived in Canada for 3 years before returning to Wales to attend UWIC (now Cardiff Metropolitan University) as a mature student. Richard Osman's House Of Games
''Richard Osman's House of Games'' is a British quiz show produced by Banijay (owners of Endemol Shine UK), a branch of Remarkable Television for the BBC. The show is hosted by Richard Osman. It is played on a weekly basis, with four "celebrities" playing on five consecutive days to win daily prizes, and the weekly prize of being crowned as "House of Games" champion. Points are accrued depending on where each celebrity finishes on each day and the points are doubled on Friday's show. Elis James
Owain Elis James (born 3 November 1980) is a Welsh comedian, broadcaster and actor originally from Haverfordwest. He grew up in Carmarthen and later lived in Cardiff. He is now based in South London. He is bilingual in Welsh language, Welsh and English and has performed stand-up in both languages. Early life James was born in Haverfordwest and grew up in Carmarthen, Wales. He has two younger sisters, Carys and Nia. James's mother worked with the father of Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert and the mother of Welsh musician Euros Childs. ''The Socially Distant Sports Bar'' is a comedy/sports podcast hosted by sports journalist and academic Steffan Garrero with comedians Elis James and Mike Bubbins. It was created in response to the lack of live sport during the COVID-19 pandemic. Premise Each of the presenters picks a short clip, then take turns to pick a feature-length documentary, followed by a second short clip each, ending with one of them choosing a book (originally three books were discussed) all related to sport. They discuss the clips, documentary and book as well as taking various detours to discuss a diverse range of subjects loosely related to the original clips. In March 2021 the second round of clips were made available to Patreon subscribers only and in April 2023 the Non-Patreon version of the podcast was split into two episodes, made available on Wednesdays and Fridays. Lucy Ann Beaumont is a British actress, writer, and stand-up comedian from Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire. Machynlleth
Machynlleth () is a market town, community and electoral ward in Powys, Wales and within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It is in the Dyfi Valley at the intersection of the A487 and the A489 roads. At the 2001 Census it had a population of 2,147, rising to 2,235 in 2011. BBC Radio Wales is a Welsh radio station owned and operated by BBC Cymru Wales, a division of the BBC.
