Mike Bianco
Michael F. Bianco (born May 3, 1967) is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Ole Miss Rebels baseball, Ole Miss Rebels. He played college baseball at Indian River Community College before transferring to LSU Tigers baseball, LSU where he played for coach Skip Bertman from 1988 to 1989. Bianco served as the head coach of the McNeese State Cowboys baseball, McNeese State Cowboys (1998–2000) before being named head coach at Ole Miss. He has led the Rebels to two College World Series appearances (2014 College World Series, 2014 and 2022 College World Series, 2022), with Ole Miss winning their first national championship in 2022. College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball. However, if players do opt to enroll at a four-year college to play baseball, they must complete three years to regain professional eligibility, unless they reach age 21 before starting their third year of college. 2001 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2001 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was played at the end of the 2001 NCAA Division I baseball season to determine the national champion of college baseball. The tournament concluded with eight teams competing in the College World Series, a double-elimination tournament in its fifty fifth year. Sixteen regional competitions were held to determine the participants in the final event, with each winner advancing to a best of three series against another regional champion for the right to play in the College World Series. Seminole High School is a public coeducational high school located in Seminole, Florida. It is governed by the Pinellas County Schools. The school's mascot is "Wally the Warhawk". The student population is approximately 1,950. History Prior to the opening of the school in the late summer of 1962, students in what is now known as the Seminole area attended Largo High School or Dixie Hollins High School. With rapid growth in Seminole in the late 1950s and early 1960s, it became necessary for the newly suburban area to have its own high school. The 2022 NCAA Men's College World Series was the final stage of the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
