Mike Amor
Mike Amor is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Amor is currently the weekend presenter of ''Seven News#Melbourne, Seven News Melbourne'' with Rebecca Maddern and presents ''Seven Afternoon News'' in Melbourne. Previously, he was the network's US Bureau Chief for almost two decades, based in Los Angeles. Career Amor was United States Bureau Chief for ''Seven News'', based in Los Angeles for 17 years. He won the RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award, Edward R Murrow National Award in the Breaking News category for his report of the rescue of a toddler after the Haiti earthquake and has been nominated for two Australian Logies, winning in 2008 for his report on the Garuda plane crash in Indonesia. Samantha Armytage
Samantha Armytage (born 4 September 1976) is an Australian journalist and television presenter. Armytage was previously co-host of the Seven Network's breakfast television program ''Sunrise'' from 2013 to 2021 alongside David Koch. She also previously co-hosted ''Weekend Sunrise'' and presented '' Seven's 4.30 News''. Early life Armytage was born to Mac and Elizabeth Armytage. She grew up on Bolaro Station, a sheep property near Adaminaby in New South Wales, where her father was the station manager. A hot mic, sometimes referred to as an open microphone or (in aviation) a stuck mic, is in general an apparent error in which a microphone is switched on or remains on, especially without the speaker's realizing. As used in online gaming, the term "hot mic" refers to when a player's microphone is heard being constantly on. It is also used as a call-out, "Hot mic!" to encourage all players to check their microphone settings. Peter Mitchell (born 14 June, 1960) is an Australian television presenter. He has been the chief news presenter for HSV-7 of their flagship bulletin "''Seven News Melbourne"'' since the year 2000, and prior to that, he was the weekend news presenter. Career Mitchell began at the Nine Network in 1977 as a sport reporter. In this position he covered sports such as Australian rules football, golf, tennis and the Commonwealth Games. In 1982, Peter became a general news reporter and in this position he covered many stories including Victoria's horrific Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983.
