Mijo Babić
Marijan Mijo Babić (1903–1941), nicknamed Giovanni, was a deputy of the Croatian fascist dictator (poglavnik ( hr, poglavni pobočnik)) Ante Pavelić, and the first commander of all concentration camps in the Independent State of Croatia. He was head of the Third Bureau of the Ustasha Surveillance Service ( hr, Ustaška nadzorna služba—UNS), and was also a member of the Main Ustaše Headquarters, one of the two main deputies of Pavelić. Mijo Caktaš (born 8 May 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for NK Osijek in Prva HNL. Club career A native of Dugopolje, Mijo Caktaš started training with his hometown club NK Dugopolje, moving to the " NK Omladinac Vranjic" youth team when he was 14. Bishop Mijo Gorski (born 17 September 1952) is a Croatian Roman Catholic prelate who currently serves as a Titular Bishop of Epidaurum and an Auxiliary Bishop of Archdiocese of Zagreb since 3 May 2010. Mijo Kovačić (born 5 August 1935 in Gornja Šuma at Molve) is a Croatian painter and naïve artist. His works can be found at the Croatian Museum of Naïve Art in Zagreb. Mijo Lončarić
Mijo Lončarić (born 1 September 1941) is a Croatian linguist. He was born in Reka, Croatia. He received a degree in Yugoslav languages and literature and German at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in 1966, and a PhD with a thesis on Bilogora Kajkavian speeches (published in 1986). He was the recipient of the Humboldt Foundation scholarship on two occasions. After lecturing at various foreign universities in 1973 he started working at the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics, serving as a Director in the period 1993-1995. Mijo Udovčić (September 11, 1920 - April 8, 1984) was a Yugoslavian chess player, who became the first Croatian Grandmaster in 1962. Jointly with Borislav Ivkov, he won the Yugoslav championships in 1963. Background Udovčić gained the title of International Master in 1957 and became a Grandmaster in 1962. He was the first Croatian player to attain the Grandmaster title. Chessmetrics gives his highest rating as 2618 in January 1953, which places him 39th in the world at that time. As well as being a top chess player, Udovčić worked as a judge.
