Mijas ( ; ) is a municipality in the Province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Located on the southeastern coast of Spain, Mijas belongs to the region of Costa del Sol Occidental. Its center is a typical Andalusian white-washed village, Mijas Pueblo, located on a mountainside about 430 metres or 1,476 feet above sea level, in the heart of the Costa del Sol region. Mijas Pueblo
Mijas Pueblo is the historical core of the municipality of Mijas, situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol in southwestern Spain. It lies only 30 kilometres from Málaga Airport. It has a varied landscape that goes from the mountains all the way to the sea. The area of Mijas is mostly mountainous with growing developments along the coast and on the gentler parts of the mountain slopes. The Pasadas and Ojen rivers cross this area, they join to form the Rio Fuengirola which flows into the sea almost on the limits between Fuengirola and Mijas. La Cala De Mijas
La Cala de Mijas (''English: Mijas Bay'') forms part of the Municipality of Mijas in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, southern Spain. In the middle of the Costa del Sol, La Cala is located in the coastal zone of the municipality, and except for a few rocks is practically urbanized within a radius. It sits between the limits of Fuengirola to the east, and Marbella to the west. With a population of 4,000 inhabitants, the town is dedicated to tourism, but has some municipal services such as health centers, schools, house of culture and library. Costa Del Sol
The Costa del Sol (literally "Coast of the Sun" or "Sun Coast") is a region in the south of Spain in the autonomous community of Andalusia, comprising the coastal towns and communities along the coastline of the Province of Málaga and the eastern part of Campo de Gibraltar in Cádiz. Formerly made up only of a series of small fishing settlements, today the region is a world-renowned tourist destination. Costa del Sol Occidental (English: "Western Coast of the Sun") is a Comarcas of Spain, ''comarca'' (county) in Andalusia, southern Spain. It occupies a narrow coastal strip delimited by the cordillera Penibética (Sierra de Mijas, Sierra Alpujata, Sierra Blanca (Andalusia), Sierra Blanca, Sierra Bermeja, Sierra Crestallina) to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. La Cala Resort
La Cala Resort is a residential and recreational estate in Mijas, Andalucía, southern Spain. Located between Marbella and Fuengirola, La Cala is home to three 18-hole golf courses, a six-hole Par 3 pitch and putt course, and a golf academy. It is recognised by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation as the largest golf complex in the country. Other facilities include a luxury hotel, on-site apartments and villas, and a separate clubhouse.
