Mihir Bose (born 12 January 1947) is a British Indian journalist and author. He writes a weekly "Big Sports Interview" for the ''London Evening Standard'', and also writes and broadcasts on sport and social and historical issues for several outlets including the BBC, the ''Financial Times'' and ''Sunday Times''. He was the BBC Sports Editor until 4 August 2009. He has written for most of the major UK newspapers and several business publications, presented programmes for radio and television, and written 26 books including a history of Bollywood and various books on football and cricket. Mihir Kumar Das (17 February 1959 – 11 January 2022) was an Indian actor who worked in Odia language films (Ollywood industry). Mihir Goswami is an Indian politician from the state of West Bengal. He was a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from 1996–2001 and 2016–2021, from the Cooch Behar Dakshin constituency. Mihir Sen (16 November 1930 – 11 June 1997) was a famous Indian long distance swimmer and lawyer. He was the first Asian to conquer the English Channel from Dover to Calais in 1958, and did so in the fourth fastest time (14 hrs & 45 mins). He was the only man to swim the oceans of the five continents in one calendar year (1966). These included the Palk Strait, Dardanelles, Bosphorus, Gibraltar, and the entire length of the Panama Canal.
