Miguel Vargas (baseball)
Miguel Antonio Vargas (born November 17, 1999) is a Cuban professional baseball infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. Career Vargas signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international free agent in September 2017. He spent his first professional season in 2018 with the Arizona League Dodgers, Ogden Raptors and Great Lakes Loons. Vargas played 2019 with Great Lakes and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He started 2021 with Great Lakes before being promoted to the Tulsa Drillers. Between the two teams, he appeared in 120 games and batted .319 with 23 homers and 76 RBI. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. The All-Star Futures Game is an annual baseball exhibition game hosted by Major League Baseball (MLB) in conjunction with the mid-summer MLB All-Star Game. A team of American League-affiliated prospects competes against a team of National League-affiliated prospects. Jordan Blackmon Montgomery (born December 27, 1992), nicknamed "Gumby", is an American professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He also played for the New York Yankees. Before his professional career, Montgomery played college baseball for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
