Miguel Sena
Miguel José Sena Manterola (6 November 1884 - 16 March 1969) was a Spanish association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward for Real Sociedad. His brothers, Alfonso Sena, Alfonso and Gregorio Sena, Gregorio, also played for Real Sociedad. Club career Born in San Sebastián, he began his career with Unión Vizcaino. In 1907, the best players from Vizcaino and Athletic Bilbao, Athletic Club came together to form Bizcaya (football team), Bizcaya, which was specially created to take part in the 1907 Copa del Rey, and he Sena and his brother Alfonso were elected into the team, and both featured in the 1907 Copa del Rey Final, final, which ended in a 0–1 loss to Real Madrid CF, Madrid CF. Copa Del Rey
The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del GeneralÃsimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The competition was founded in 1903, thus making it the oldest Spanish football competition played at a national level. 1909 Copa Del Rey Final
The 1909 Copa del Rey Final was the 7th final of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. The final was played at Campo de O'Donnell in Madrid on 8 April 1909. The match was won by Club Ciclista, who beat Español de Madrid 3–1. The Ciclista goals were scored by George McGuinness, Charles Simmons and Miguel Sena, with José Giralt reducing the deficit for Español de Madrid late on. The final was played under a heavy downpour and with low temperatures. The match was tough and although Español de Madrid took the initiative, their attack collided again and again with the San Sebastian defense that did take advantage of the opportunities they enjoyed. After 90 minutes of unsuccessful domination from Español de Madrid (they even missed a penalty for a handball in the area), the referee blew the whistle for the end of the match with a result of 3 to 1 for San Sebastián Cycling Club, which was proclaimed Champion of Spain for the first time. Club Español De Madrid
Club Español de Madrid was a Spanish football club based in Madrid. The club was originally formed in 1901 after a conflict between Sky Football members caused some of them to leave and create a new club. Español de Madrid collapsed in the summer of 1903, but was refounded a few months later by players from a split of Madrid FC. Español de Madrid was subsequently the Campeonato Regional Centro champions in both 1904 and 1909, and reached three Copa del Rey finals in 1904, 1909 and 1910, which all ended in losses. Club Español were one of several football clubs to emerge with a reference to ''Spain'' in their title. Others in Madrid included ''Sociedad Gimnástica Española de Madrid''. The 1909 Copa del Rey was the 7th staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 4 April 1909, and concluded on 8 April 1909, with the final, held at the O'Donnell, in Madrid, in which Club Ciclista de San Sebastián lifted the trophy for the first time ever with a 3–1 victory over Español Madrid. The Basque goalscorers were George McGuinness, Charles Simmons and Miguel Sena. Club Ciclista de San Sebastián are the predecessors of Real Sociedad. After winning the cup trophy, on 7 September 1909 the players of Club Ciclista founded a new in club in San Sebastián, called Vasconia, later changing the name to Real Sociedad.
