Miguel Jones
Miguel Jones Castillo (; 27 October 1938 – 8 April 2020) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for SD Indautxu and Atlético Madrid during the 1950s and 1960s. Football career Although born in Spanish Guinea, now known as Equatorial Guinea, Jones grew up in Bilbao. He began his career with local sides Barakaldo and Indautxu, where his teammates included the veteran Lezama and another emerging young player, Chus Pereda. Jones and Pereda, and later a third Indautxu player, José Eulogio Gárate, were all controversially rejected by Athletic Bilbao because the club's signing policy required for them to be born in Biscay; he maintained throughout his life that his rejection was not due to racism, as the other shunned players were white. Malabo
Malabo ( , ; formerly Santa Isabel) is the capital of Equatorial Guinea and the province of Bioko Norte. It is located on the north coast of the island of Bioko, ( bvb, Etulá, and as ''Fernando Pó'' by the Europeans). In 2018, the city had a population of approximately 297,000 inhabitants. Adelardo Rodríguez Sánchez, usually referred to simply as Adelardo (born 26 September 1939, in Badajoz), is a Spanish former professional footballer. Club career Adelardo enjoyed a 17-year spell at Atletico Madrid from 1959 to 1976. He was one of the most accomplished midfield schemers of his generation, combining skill, commitment and an eye for goal. During his spell, the club won three La Liga titles (65–66, 69–70 and 72–73), five Copa del Reys (1960, 1961, 1965, 1972 and 1976), the 1962 European Cup Winners' Cup, the 1974 Intercontinental Cup. Cantera, literally meaning "quarry" in Spanish, is a term used in Spain to refer to youth academies and farm teams organized by sports clubs. It is also used to refer to the geographical area that clubs recruit players from. The term is widely used in football but is also applied to other sports, such as basketball. This article, however, is about the football ''canteras''. By 13 March, cases had been confirmed in all 50 provinces of the country. A partially unconstitutional lockdown was imposed on 14 March 2020. Luis Aragonés Suárez (; 28 July 1938 – 1 February 2014) was a Spanish football player and manager. Aragonés spent the majority of his career as a player and coach at Atlético Madrid. He was a prominent player and then coach of the successful Atlético team of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The team were List of Spanish football champions, national champions four times, reached the 1974 European Cup Final. Between 1964 and 1974, he played 265 La Liga, Primera Liga games for Atlético and scored 123 goals. The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a European football club competition contested annually by the winners of domestic cup competitions. The cup was, chronologically, the second seasonal inter-European club competition organised by UEFA. The tournament ran for 39 seasons, with the final edition held in 1998–99, after which it was discontinued. The first tournament was held in 1960–61, but it was organised by the Mitropa Cup's Organising Committee and not recognised by the governing body of European football until 1963, when it was accepted as a UEFA competition on the initiative of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
