Miguel Gómez (born March 29, 1974) is a Colombian-American photographer and visual artist, based in New York City, whose style is marked by/best known for his work in fine art photography, portrait, editorial and landscape photography. Gómez currently works between London and New York City. Early life and education He completed his primary and secondary education at Colegio San Carlos, a bilingual private school which he attended from 1981 to 1992 in Bogotá, Colombia. After graduating from high school, Gómez enrolled in the Architecture School of Bogotá's Universidad de Los Andes and eventually continued and completed his studies at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University from 1994 to 1999, earning a Professional (Bachelor of Arts) Degree in Advertising with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Miguel Gómez Damas (5 June 1785 – 11 June 1849) was a Spanish Carlist general of the First Carlist War. Born at Torredonjimeno, in the province of Jaén, he served under the Carlist general Zumalacárregui and in 1836 undertook an unsuccessful military expedition against Liberal forces in various locations, including Asturias, Galicia, Extremadura, Andalusia, and La Mancha, but suffered defeats. He lost the battles of Villarrobledo and Majaceite. Miguel Angel Gómez Martínez (born May 31, 1974) is a former minor league baseball pitcher who has been a mainstay on the Panama national baseball team in the early 21st century. He was on Panama's roster in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Career Amateur career Miguel Gomez started his amateur career in Panama Metro youth system, later signed in 1992 by Toronto Blue Jays organization. Since 2009 plays for Bocas del Toro baseball team aka ''Turtle-men'' on the Panama National Baseball Championship, achieving four straight finals with them. Miguel Gómez (born December 17, 1992) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder for the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants. Miguel Ángel Gómez Palapa (born 6 September 1974) is a former Mexican professional football midfielder. Career Gómez Palapa started his youth career at Cruz Azul Hidalgo. José Miguel Gómez y Arias (6 July 1858 – 13 June 1921) was a Cuban politician and revolutionary who was one of the leaders of the rebel forces in the Cuban War of Independence. He later served as President of Cuba from 1909 to 1913. Early career At the Constitutional Convention, Gómez was one of those who voted in favor of adopting the Platt Amendment. Born in Sancti Spíritus, in the former Las Villas Province, Gómez went on to govern Santa Clara and became quite popular in Cuba. In 1905, Gómez planned to run for the presidency with Alfredo Zayas on behalf of the Liberals. Violence prevented the Liberals from winning much in the election so Gómez dropped out of the running. Gómez and Zayas began to split the Liberal party. A strong showing by the Conservatives against the divided Liberals convinced them to rejoin. Miguel Mariano Gómez y Arias (October 6, 1889 – October 26, 1950) was a Cuban politician who served as the seventh President of Cuba for just over eight months in 1936. Compared to other administrations, there was general peace and tranquillity in Cuba during Gómez's brief presidency.
