Miguel Gallardo (comics Artist)
Miguel Ángel Gallardo Paredes (27 December 1955 – 21 February 2022) was a Spanish comic book artist. Biography He was known as a representative of the Spanish underground comics' scene of the 1970s and 1980s, publishing in magazines such as '' El Víbora'', ''Cairo'', ''Complot'' and ''Viñetas'' and characters such as ''Makoki.'' Later, he opted for the biographical genre, with the publication of works such as ''Un largo silencio'' and the award-winning ''María y yo (Maria and Me)''. In 2009, he published with Paco Roca Emotional World Tour, where they tell the anecdotes related to the promotion of their latest comics. In 2011, he illustrated the first two covers of the new war feats. Gallardo died on 21 February 2022, at the age of 66. Lleida (, ; Spanish: Lérida ) is a city in the west of Catalonia, Spain. It is the capital city of the province of Lleida. Geographically, it is located in the Catalan Central Depression. ''El Víbora'' (Spanish: ''The Viper'') was a Spanish language monthly alternative comics magazine published in Barcelona, Spain, between 1979 and 2005, with a peak monthly circulation of 80,000 copies. The magazine was subtitled "Comix for Survivors". History and profile ''El Víbora'' was established in December 1979. The founders were a group of Spanish cartoonists led by Josep Maria Berenguer. Catalan comics publisher Josep Toutain financed the establishment of the magazine which was published by La Cúpula. Josep Maria Berenguer wanted to name the magazine as GOMA 3, a reference to Goma-2, an explosive notoriously used by the Basque terrorist/nationalist organization ETA during the 1970s. Alex Trochut (born 1981) is a Spanish artist, graphic designer, illustrator, and typographer. Born in Barcelona and currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
