Miguel Benavides (10 September 1939 – 14 July 2008) was a Cuban actor. He appeared in more than twenty films between 1964 and 2003. The 9th Moscow International Film Festival was held from 10 to 23 July 1975. It was entered into the 9th Moscow International Film Festival where Miguel Benavides won the award for Best Actor. History El otro Francisco (The Other Francisco) is based of novel called "Francisco" made by Anselmo Suárez y Romero in which takes a socio-economic analysis of slavery and class struggle through the retelling of the original novel. The film and novels goal consist of realistic expose of slavery conditions throughout the American History. It also offers a critical analysis of the novel, showing how the author's social background led to his use of particular dramatic structures to convey his liberal, humanitarian viewpoint.
