Francisco Tobar Garcia ( Quito, November 3, 1928 – Quito, February 1, 1997) was an Ecuadorian poet, playwright, short story writer, essayist, journalist, literary critic, diplomat and university professor. He held a Ph.D. in Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. He was a visiting professor at the National University of La Plata in Argentina, the Sorbonne in Paris, and the Complutense University of Madrid The Complutense University of Madrid ( es, Universidad Complutense de Madrid; UCM, links=no, ''Universidad de Madrid'', ''Universidad Central de Madrid''; la, Universitas Complutensis Matritensis, links=no) is a public research university loc .... Ricardo Eliécer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto (12 July 1904 – 23 September 1973), better known by his pen name and, later, legal name Pablo Neruda (; ), was a Chilean poet-diplomat and politician who won the 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature. León Klimovsky
León Klimovsky (16 October 1906 – 8 April 1996) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter and film producer. Biography A trained dentist, born in Buenos Aires, his real passion was always the cinema. He pioneered Argentine cultural movement known as cineclub and financed the first movie theater to show ''art movies''. He also founded Argentina's first film club in 1929. After participating as scriptwriter and assistant director of 1944's ''Se abre el abismo'', he filmed his first movie, an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's ''The Player''. He also worked on adaptations of Alexandre Dumas' ''The Count of Monte Cristo'' and Ernesto Sabato's ''The Tunnel''. During the 1950s, Klimovsky settled in Spain, where he became a full-time "professional" director. Allison is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City, Mexico that formed in 2002. Nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in 2013. History The band was started Erik Canales and Manuel Avila in 2002. They had known each other in high school for reasons other than music, and had individual musical projects before founding Allison, but none of these were successful, so they decided to create Allison along with two former members of a band Erik was in. Erik says he suggested the name after reading a poem about the true meaning of love: "Allison is the girl you're falling in love with and she with you, but still you don't know her". In 2003 they met Paco Zepeda, their current manager, and started working on demos and songs to present to some transnational labels. María Daniela y su Sonido Lasser is a Mexican electronic group. It consists of the electronic guru Emilio Acevedo and the singer María Daniela Azpiazu. They are one of the most popular projects of the well-known Mexican electronic label Nuevos Ricos. Biography In 2007, Emilio Acevedo, already working in other electronic projects such as Titán, started Sonido Lasser Drakar. Exploring the sounds of dance music, he asked a friend, Maria Daniela, to join the group just for fun.
