Midland-Odessa FC
West Texas FC is an American soccer team based in Midland, Texas, United States. Founded in 2008, the team plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Lone Star Conference of the South Region. The team has played its home games at the Grande Communications Stadium since 2009. The team's colors are white and navy blue. Since 2022, the team has been owned by real estate investors Jason and Melina Cannon. They have won three titles. History The team joined the USL as an expansion team in 2009, The team's ownership group included Miles Prentice and Bob Richmond, who also owned the Midland RockHounds. The team opened its inaugural season on April 10, 2009 with a 1–0 win over the Arizona Sahuaros in an exhibition match at Grande Stadium. Grande Communications Stadium
The Astound Broadband Stadium is a 15,000-seat (18,000 capacity) stadium located in Midland, Texas. The stadium plays host to the American football and soccer teams for both Legacy High School and Midland High School, plus the Midland-Odessa FC franchise in soccer's Premier Development League, the West Texas Drillers adult tackle football team in the Minor Professional Football League (MPFL) as well as the West Texas Pride Minor League Football team of the Rio Grande Football League (RGFL) The stadium is part of the Scharbauer Sports Complex, together with the 5,000-seat Security Bank Ballpark. 2015 PDL Season
The 2015 USL Premier Development League season was the 21st season of the PDL and consisted of 63 teams. The regular season began on May 2 and ended on July 19. The Michigan Bucks were the defending champions and posted the best overall record in the League; however, they were defeated by K-W United FC in the Central Conference finals. K-W United went on to win the league championship by defeating the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 1-0 in the semi-finals and in high scoring final they overcame the New York Red Bulls U-23 4-3. 63 clubs competed in the semi-professional soccer leagues.
