Mixed martial arts (MMA), sometimes referred to as cage fighting, no holds barred (NHB), and ultimate fighting, and originally referred to as Vale Tudo is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world. Vladimir Konstantinovich Mineev (russian: Влади́мир Константи́нович Минее́в; born February 16, 1990) is a Russian Middleweight kickboxer and mixed martial artist. Biography Vladimir Mineev was born on February 16, 1990, in the suburbs of Sverdlovsk , then moved to Saransk with his family , and from the age of three he permanently lived in Ulyanovsk . Mineev's parents are doctors, his older brother also later became a doctor (St. Petersburg). He studied at school number 75, as a child he constantly fought on the street and at school. He began to engage in kickboxing in early childhood, was trained under the guidance of trainers E.V. Golovikhin and V.V.Safonin . Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a form of competitive combat sport, akin to boxing, muay thai, or kick boxing. MMA titles, or championship belts, are given to those fighters deemed by a promotional organization to have met a certain standard of athletic accomplishment in a specific weight class (most often by means of a championship fight). Championship belts are fought for at each weight class under a promotion, with only one belt awarded per class. Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) is the first and only professional mixed martial arts promotion based in the Philippines. Its inaugural event was held at the Casino Filipino Amphitheater in Parañaque, Philippines on November 23, 2002. The URCC is under the supervision of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), the government agency that sanctions games such as billiards, boxing and basketball.
