Middle Military District
Middle Military District ( sv, Mellersta militärområdet, Milo M) was a Swedish military district, a command of the Swedish Armed Forces that had operational control over Middle Sweden, for most time of its existence corresponding to the area covered by the counties of Östergötland, Södermanland, Stockholm, Uppsala, Västmanland, Örebro, Värmland, Kopparberg (now Dalarna County) and Gävleborg. The headquarters of Milo M were located in Strängnäs. History Milo M was created in 1991 when the number of military districts of Sweden was decreased to five, and as a consequence of that, the Eastern Military District (Milo Ö) was merged with Bergslagen Military District (Milo B) to create this new military district. Eastern Military District ( sv, Östra militärområdet, Milo Ö), originally IV Military District ( sv, IV. militärområdet) was a Swedish military district, a command of the Swedish Armed Forces that had operational control over Eastern Sweden, for most time of its existence corresponding to the area covered by the counties of Östergötland, Södermanland, Stockholm, Uppsala and Västmanland. The headquarters of Milo Ö were located in Strängnäs. History Milo Ö was created in 1966 along with five other military districts as part of a reorganisation of the administrative divisions of the Swedish Armed Forces. It can be seen as the successor of IV Military District (''IV. militärområdet'') created in 1942, but that did not have the same tasks as Milo Ö. Anders Lindström (Swedish Army Officer)
Lieutenant General Anders Reinhold Lindström (14 January 1955) is a retired Swedish Army officer. His senior commands include the Chief of Home Guard, the Chief of Joint Operations and the Commandant General in Stockholm. He retired from the military in 2011. Early life Lindström was born on 14 January 1955 in Borås, Sweden. His father, who came from Ådalen, started as a tailor apprentice and became designer in women's clothing. Lindström's mother came from a free church baptist family. He grew up in Borås, Västerås, Nässjö, and Halmstad and started school one year before his peers. Lindström graduated from Rudbeckianska gymnasiet in Västerås in 1971 and as a youth he became Swedish junior champion in bandy. Major General Erik Lennart Rönnberg (21 November 1938 – 25 December 2022) was a Swedish Army officer. His senior commands include postings as Chief of the Army Staff and of the General Staff Corps (1990–1994) and Chief of Staff of the Middle Military District (1994–1995). Early life Rönnberg was born on 21 November 1938 in Fjällsjö Parish, Strömsund Municipality, Sweden, the son of Albin Rönnberg and his wife Hilda (née Viklund). Major General Kjell Bertil Ingvar Koserius (26 October 1943 – 4 December 2002) was a Swedish Air Force officer. Early life Koserius was born on 26 October 1943 in Kinna Parish, Älvsborg County, Sweden. Career Koserius graduated from the Swedish Air Force Flying School in 1962 and was commissioned as an officer with the rank of second lieutenant. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1964. On 21 June 1978, Koserius graduated from ''Flygvapnets Krigsskola'' (F 20) in Uppsala, and was awarded commanding officer of F 20's silver plaque and the Swedish Officers Association's (''Svenska officersförbundet'') book prize for good study achievements. Vice admiral (Sweden), Vice Admiral Dick Roland Börjesson (born 16 July 1938) is a Swedish Navy officer. He was Chief of Navy (Sweden), Chief of the Navy from 1990 to 1994 and military commander of the Middle Military District (Milo M) from 1994 to 1998. Lieutenant General Torsten Reinhold Engberg (28May 1934 – 7February 2018) was a senior Swedish Coastal Artillery officer. Engberg was Chief of the Naval Staff from 1984 to 1987 and Chief of the Defence Staff from 1987 to 1991 as well as military commander of the Middle Military District (Milo M) from 1991 to 1994. Moiré Pattern
In mathematics, physics, and art, moiré patterns ( , , ) or moiré fringes are large-scale interference patterns that can be produced when an opaque ruled pattern with transparent gaps is overlaid on another similar pattern. Södermanland
Södermanland ( or ), locally Sörmland, sometimes referred to under its Latin form ''Sudermannia'' or ''Sudermania'', is a historical province or ''landskap'' on the south eastern coast of Sweden. It borders Östergötland, Närke, Västmanland and Uppland. It is also bounded by lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. The Defence Act of 2000 (prop. 1999/2000:30) was a defence act passed by the Swedish Riksdag on 30 March 2000, and the largest reorganisation of the Swedish Armed Forces since the Defence Act of 1925.
