Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, United States, just outside the village of Lexington. Mid-Ohio has also colloquially become a term for the entire north-central region of the state, from south of Sandusky to the north of Columbus. It hosts a number of racing series such as IndyCar, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series, along with other club events such has SCCA and National Auto Sport Association. The track The track opened as a 15-turn, road circuit run clockwise. The back portion of the track allows speeds approaching . A separate starting line is located on the backstretch to allow for safer rolling starts. The regular start/finish line is located on the pit straight. In 1990 the track underwent a refurbishment. The O'Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that is held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course road course in Lexington, Ohio. Parker Kligerman is the defending winner of this race. It is one of three standalone races on the Truck Series schedule, the others being the Corn Belt 150 at Knoxville Raceway and the TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. The Dawn 150 is a annual ARCA Menards Series race held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. History ARCA first ran a race at Mid-Ohio in 1965. The , 150-lap race was run on May 18 on the original 15-turn circuit and was won by Jack Bowsher. On October 8, 2019, ARCA announced that it would return to the course for the 2020 season with a race on Friday, May 29, on the same weekend as the Xfinity Series race there, which was previously in August. The B&L Transport 170 was a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that was held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, United States. The inaugural event took place on August 17, 2013, and was scheduled to be contested for 90 laps over a distance of . However, the race was extended by four laps due to a green–white–checker finish. In 2015, the race was reduced to 75 laps (169.35 miles). Kim Green is a British-Australian former racing driver who was the co-owner and Chief Executive Officer of Andretti Green Racing, a racing team in the Indycar Series. AMA Superbike Championship is an American motorcycle racing series that has been run every year beginning in 1976. For most of its existence it has been considered the premier motorcycle road racing series in the United States. 1987 CART PPG Indy Car World Series
The 1987 CART PPG Indy Car World Series season was the 9th national championship season of American open wheel racing sanctioned by CART. The season consisted of 16 races, and one non-points exhibition event. Bobby Rahal was the national champion, winning his second-consecutive title. The rookie of the year was Fabrizio Barbazza. The 1987 Indianapolis 500 was sanctioned by USAC, but counted towards the CART points championship. Al Unser won the Indy 500, his record-tying fourth victory at Indy. The March 87C is a highly successful and extremely competitive open-wheel race car, designed and built by March Engineering, to compete in the 1986 IndyCar season, alongside the 85C and 86C. The season was another whitewash and a clean-sweep for March, following up on the success of their 1986 campaign. Roberto Guerrero
Roberto José Guerrero Isaza (born 16 November 1958) is a Colombian-American former race driver. He participated in 29 Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 23 January 1982, becoming the first Colombian to start a Formula One Grand Prix. With no championship points in Formula One and no prospects to drive for a competitive team, Guerrero left at the end of the 1983 season to race in the United States. He had an auspicious beginning to his Indycar racing career, winning both CART and Indianapolis 500 rookie of the year honors in 1984. His initial promise was never completely fulfilled, winning only two CART races, both in 1987. Later the same year he had a massive accident which left him in a coma for 17 days.
