Mid-Missouri Outlaws
The Mid-Missouri Outlaws were a professional indoor football team which began play in 2006 and were a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Sedalia, Missouri, the Outlaws played their home games at the Mathewson Exhibition Center at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. History The Outlaws joined the CPFL in 2006 as an expansion team before joining the American Professional Football League in 2010. The Outlaws played for three seasons in the APFL before joining the CPIFL for the 2013 season. The owners of the Outlaws were Chad Jackson, and Ethan and Trish Henson. The Outlaws played their home games at the Mathewson Exhibition Center in Sedalia. The Outlaws did not return to the CPIFL in 2014. Mathewson Exhibition Center
The James L. Mathewson Exhibition Center is a publicly owned 3,155-seat multi-purpose arena on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri. Built in 1988, it received its current name in 1994 to honor Missouri Senator James L. Mathewson, who was instrumental in getting support for the State Fair to the General Assembly. During the Fair, the Mathewson Exhibition Center hosts equine and livestock shows as well as various entertainment and concerts. Lincoln Haymakers
The Lincoln Haymakers were a professional indoor football team based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Haymakers played their 2013–2014 home games at the Pershing Center. The Haymakers were the second indoor football team to call Lincoln home, following the Lincoln Lightning/Capitols which played in the original Indoor Football League (1999–2000), arenafootball2 (2001), and the National Indoor Football League (2002–2006). The Haymakers were last coached by Cory Ross. In 2013, Ross served as an interim head coach after previous coach Dave Brumagen was suspended for the season after pushing an Omaha Beef player to the ground after the player had scored a touchdown on May 11. The Sioux City Bandits are a professional indoor football team based in Sioux City, Iowa, and compete as a member of Champions Indoor Football (CIF). The team was founded in 1999 as the Sioux City Attack. In 2001, the team assumed their current name of the Bandits. The Bandits joined the CIF as result of a merger in 2014. The Omaha Beef is an indoor football team and a charter member of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the Beef play their home games at Liberty First Credit Union Arena in nearby Ralston. History First 13 seasons Omaha originally played in the Indoor Professional Football League in 2000 and 2001 as an expansion team. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Defenders played their home games at the Cox Business Center. It was announced in August 2014, that the team would go dark and cease all operation for the 2015 season, with the goal to return in the 2016 season. The Kansas Koyotes, founded by Ralph Adams, were a professional indoor football and were a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Topeka, Kansas, the Koyotes played their home games at Landon Arena. The Koyotes began play in 2003 as a professional football team. The Bloomington Edge was a professional indoor football team based in Bloomington, Illinois. While it was in operation, the team hosted home games at Grossinger Motors Arena. Originally named the Bloomington Extreme, the team was a member of United Indoor Football (UIF), and joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2009 during the UIF and Intense Football League merger. They left the IFL for the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) in 2013, and in 2015 the CPIFL merged with the Lone Star Football League (LSFL) to create Champions Indoor Football (CIF), where Bloomington did not follow and joined X-League Indoor Football (X-League).
