Micki Marlo
Micki Marlo (August 12, 1928 – September 20, 2016) was an American singer and model, best known in the 1950s, who received attention for both her singing and her beauty. She was a member of WPEN Philadelphia's "950 Club", a radio precursor of ''American Bandstand''. She worked the variety show circuit in the 1950s, appearing on the original Tonight Show with Steve Allen. Micki was a member of the cast of Ziegfeld Follies of 1957 Recordings She recorded a duet with Paul Anka, "What You've Done To Me" in 1957. Her ABC-Paramount album, ''Married I Can Always Get'', featured her on the cover in a photo wearing a low-cut, bare-shouldered wedding dress. Jan Murray (born Murray Janofsky; October 4, 1916 – July 2, 2006) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and game-show host who originally made his name on the Borscht Belt and later was known for his frequent television appearances over several decades. Ziegfeld Girls were the chorus girls and showgirls from Florenz Ziegfeld's theatrical Broadway revue spectaculars known as the ''Ziegfeld Follies'' (1907–1931), in New York City, which were based on the Folies Bergère of Paris. Description These showgirls followed on the heels of the Florodora girls, who had started to "loosen the corset" of the Gibson Girl in the early years of the 20th century. These beauties, decked out in Erté designs, gained many young male admirers and became objects of popular adoration. All of the showgirls looked very similar, both in appearance and in stature. They danced in complete synchronization, and were the only act that was uniform in the Ziegfeld Follies. Many were persuaded to leave the show to marry, some to men of substantial wealth.
