Halifax West High School is a Canadian public high school located in the Clayton Park neighbourhood in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. Fairview, Halifax
Fairview is a community within the urban area of Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. History Prior to European colonization, the Mi'kmaq lived on the land for thousands of years. In the 1750s, many of the Foreign Protestants settled in the area. First known as the ''Westerwald'' ("western forest"), the settlement was called the ''Dutch Village'' by non-German locals. Some of the passengers of the Foreign Protestant ships settled temporarily in the Dutch Village while they waited for a more permanent settlement in Lunenburg County. In the early 20th century, most of the current street network in the area was established. It formed a regular grid pattern up the eastern slope of Geizers Hill, facing toward the Bedford Basin and the Halifax peninsula. Bella Rose Arts Centre
The Bella Rose Arts Centre is a community-based proscenium theatre performing arts centre located inside of Halifax West High School in the Clayton Park, Nova Scotia, Clayton Park neighbourhood of the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The 600 seat, professional grade, multi-purpose theatre has the capacity to handle almost any type of event from music and dance shows, to theatrical productions, and conferences. It currently functions primarily as a rental venue. Foundation The idea of the theatre was founded during the planning process of the new Halifax West High School after the old Halifax West High School became condemned due to toxic mould contamination in July 2000. Petroglyphs are found at Bedford Petroglyphs National Historic Site.
