Mickaël Pichon
Mickaël Pichon (born 13 February 1976) is a French former professional motocross and supercross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1992 to 1994 and in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1995 to 1999, before returning to compete in the Motocross World Championships from 2000 to 2009. Pichon is notable for winning the 250cc motocross world championship in 2001 and 2002. His 38 career Grand Prix victories ranks him fifth overall among motocross world championship competitors. Motocross career Pichon was born in Le Mans, France. He made his world championship debut in 1992 at the age of 16, competing in the 125cc class where he completed the season ranked 19th aboard a privateer Honda. Sylvain Geboers
Sylvain Geboers (born March 28, 1945) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and motocross racing team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1968 to 1977. Motocross career Geboers was born in Mol, Belgium. He was one of the top motocross racers of the late 1960s and early 1970s, finishing in the top three of the F.I.M. 250cc motocross World Championships for five consecutive years from 1968 to 1972. Although he was often overshadowed by his ČZ and Suzuki teammate, Joël Robert, he was a respected competitor known as a sand track specialist. Eric Geboers
Eric Geboers (5 August 1962 – 6 May 2018) was a Belgian professional motocross racer and racing driver. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1980 to 1990, winning five world championships in eleven years. Geboers is notable for being the first motocross competitor to win world championships in the 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc divisions. Geboers' 39 career Grand Prix victories ranks him fifth overall among motocross world championship competitors. In 1988, he was named the recipient of the Belgian National Sports Merit Award. In 2011, Geboers was named an FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements. Geboers died in a drowning accident in 2018. Jeffrey Herlings (born 12 September 1994) is a Dutch professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2010. Herlings is notable for winning the 2012, 2013, and 2016 MX2 Championships; and the 2018, 2021 MXGP Championships Born in Geldrop, the Netherlands, Herlings was a member of the winning Dutch team at the 2019 Motocross des Nations event that included Glenn Coldenhoff and Calvin Vlaanderen. Antonio "Tony" Cairoli (born 23 September 1985) is an Italian professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2002. Cairoli is notable for winning nine FIM motocross world championships, second only to ten-time champion Stefan Everts, making him one of the most successful world championship motocross racers in history. Beach Racing
Beach racing is a motorsport offshoot of enduro and motocross racing. As the name implies, riders on solo motorcycles, quad bikes, or sidecar combinations compete on a course marked out on a beach, often with man made jumps and sand dunes being constructed to make the course tougher. Beach races are usually held annually, generally at seaside resorts with large beaches. Typically, beach races follow the format of hare scrambles, with riders competing on a circuit of 1–3 miles (1.5–5 km) in length, usually for a time period of 1–3 hours. Due to their unique nature, beach races tend to be very popular with riders and spectators, with some of the larger races attracting several hundred riders. Enduro
Enduro is a form of motorcycle sport run on extended cross-country, off-road courses. Enduro consists of many different obstacles and challenges. The main type of enduro event, and the format to which the World Enduro Championship is run, is a time-card enduro, whereby a number of stages are raced in a time trial against the clock. Time-keeping enduros In a traditional time-keeping enduro, riders leave together in groups or rows, and each row starts at a certain minute. The object of the event is to arrive at pre-defined checkpoints according to a strict schedule. Early or late arrivals result in the riders' scores being penalized.
