Mick Tingelhoff
Henry Michael Tingelhoff (May 22, 1940 – September 11, 2021) was an American professional American football, football player who was a Center (gridiron football), center for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 1962 Minnesota Vikings season, 1962 to 1978 Minnesota Vikings season, 1978. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015, his 32nd year of eligibility. College career Tingelhoff attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He earned three letters during his football career there, but did not become a starter until his senior season in 1961. He was a co-captain of that 1961 team, which had its biggest offensive output in over five seasons. Tingelhoff participated in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and in the All-American Bowl after the regular season was over. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost Lineman (American football), lineman of the offensive line on a football team's Offense (sports), offense. 1970 Pro Bowl
The 1970 Pro Bowl was the National Football League's twentieth annual all-star game which featured the outstanding performers from the 1969 season. The game was played on Sunday, January 18, 1970, at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. The final score was West 16, East 13. Running back Gale Sayers of the Chicago Bears was named the game's offensive Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the third time after rushing for 75 yards on nine carries. Defensive end George Andrie of the Dallas Cowboys was selected as the defensive MVP. Attendance at the game was 57,786. All-American Bowl
The All-American Bowl was an annual postseason college football bowl game played at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama from 1977 to 1990. The game was known as the Hall of Fame Classic from 1977 to 1985. In 1986, the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame decided to relocate the Hall of Fame bowl game to Tampa, Florida, where it eventually became known as the Outback Bowl (now the ReliaQuest Bowl). The game in Birmingham continued as the All-American Bowl, which was played for five years under a different organizing body. Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player.
