Michiel Braam
Michiel Braam (born 17 May 1964, Nijmegen, Netherlands) is a Dutch jazz pianist and composer. Life and career He studied at the ArtEZ School of Music in Arnhem, where he currently is head of the Jazz & Pop dept. In 1986 he founded 2 bands: ''Bik Bent Braam'' (with Angelo Verploegen, Eric Boeren, Wolter Wierbos, Peter Haex, Carl Ludwig Hübsch, Peter van Bergen, Jan Willem van der Ham, Bart van der Putten, Frans Vermeerssen, Frank Gratkowski, Jörg Brinkmann, Michael Vatcher) and ''Bentje Braam''. In 1987 Michiel Braam was commissioned by the NOS. He composed a work for 4 clarinets and piano entitled ''Cows and Beasts''. It was performed by Braam on piano, and the clarinet players Ab Baars, Theo Jörgensmann, Michael Moore and Louis Sclavis. Nijmegen
Nijmegen (;; Spanish and it, Nimega. Ilja Reijngoud (born 5 July 1972) is a Dutch jazz trombonist, composer, arranger and educator who has played with many renowned artists. He won the Thelonious Monk Award in 2003. Biography Ilja Reijngoud was born in Leiden in the Netherlands in 1972. He studied at the Hilversum Conservatory, graduating cum laude in 1996, and continued to teach trombone at the conservatory after graduating. In 1998 he founded the jazz trombone department at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) with his former teacher Bart van Lier. He conducts the Codarts Big Band, including an annual performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival with various international guests. Alexander Seton Coke (born November 13, 1953 in Dallas, Texas) is a jazz saxophonist and flutist. Early life Coke was born in Dallas on November 13, 1953. He started playing the flute at the age of eight. He graduated high school in Austin, Texas, and then studied flute at the University of Colorado Boulder. He played in local groups while at university and received private lessons from Clifford Jordan and Lew Tabackin. In 1977, after graduating, he settled in Austin. Later life and career Coke and his wife, Mary Yznaga, lived in Washington, D.C., in the early 1980s. This was followed by two years in Europe, after which they returned to Austin. Stephen Argüelles Clarke (born 16 November 1963) is an English jazz drummer, producer and is the proprietor of the Plush record label. He has also worked in film and theatre.
