Micheál O'Sullivan
Micheál "Haulie" O'Sullivan (born 11 March 1977) is an Irish people, Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played as a midfielder for the Cork GAA, Cork senior team. Born in Rosscarbery, County Cork, O'Sullivan first played competitive Gaelic football whilst at school at Mount St. Michael Secondary School. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He made his senior debut in the National Football League (Ireland), 1998-99 National Football League. O'Sullivan went on to play a key role for the team over the next six years, winning one Munster Senior Football Championship, Munster medal and one National Football League (Ireland), National Football League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Carbery Rangers is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Rosscarbery, County Cork, Ireland. The club is solely concerned with the game of Gaelic football. History Located in Rosscarbery in West Cork, Carbery Rangers was founded on 10 November 1887. The club played its first match just under a month later in a field which was part of the lands of Downeen Castle. Carbery Rangers first came to countywide notice when they contested and lost back-to-back Cork SFC finals in 1905 and 1906. Carbery Rangers spent much of the following century operating in the junior grade, winning ten West Cork JAFC titles between 1937 and 2003. The last of these victories was subsequently converted into noth Cork JAFC and Munster Club JFC titles, before losing the All-Ireland final to Wolfe Tones. The Cork Junior A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Cork Junior A Football Championship and abbreviated to the Cork JAFC) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking junior clubs in the county of Cork in Ireland. It is the fifth tier overall in the entire Cork football championship system. The Cork Junior Championship was introduced in 1895 as a countywide competition for teams deemed not eligible for the senior grade or second-string senior teams. The 2002 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 116th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 5 May 2002 and ended on 22 September 2002. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Kerry in the All-Ireland quarter-final. The 1999 Bank of Ireland All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 113th edition of the GAA's premier Gaelic football competition. The championship began on 9 May 1999 and ended on 26 September 1999. Galway entered the championship as defending champions; however, they were beaten by Mayo in the Connacht final. On 26 September 1999, Meath beat Cork by 1-11 to 1-8 in the All-Ireland final, thus winning their second All-Ireland title in four years and their seventh in all. The 2004 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 116th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 14 December 2003. The championship began on 7 April 2004 and ended on 17 October 2004. The Carbery Junior A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bandon Co-op Carbery Junior A Football Championship) is an annual club Gaelic football competition organised by the Carbery Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by junior-ranked teams in West Cork, Ireland, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format.
