Michele Lupo (4 December 1932 – 27 June 1989) was an Italian film director. He directed 23 films between 1962 and 1982. He was born in Corleone, Italy, and died in Rome, Italy. Corleone
Corleone (; scn, Cunigghiuni or ) is an Italian town and ''comune'' of roughly 11,158 inhabitants in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in Sicily. Several Mafia bosses have come from Corleone, including Tommy Gagliano, Gaetano Reina, Jack Dragna, Giuseppe Morello, Michele Navarra, Luciano Leggio, Leoluca Bagarella, Salvatore Riina and Bernardo Provenzano. It is also the birthplace of several fictional characters in Mario Puzo's 1969 novel '' The Godfather'', including the eponymous Vito (Andolini) Corleone. The local mafia clan, the Corleonesi, led the Mafia in the 1980s and 1990s, and were the most violent and ruthless group ever to take control of the organization. ''Bomber'' is a 1982 comedy film directed by Michele Lupo, featuring Bud Spencer and Kallie Knoetze. Plot Bud Graziano, the title's "Bomber" character, is a former heavyweight boxing champion who retired to private life on a ship. Jerry Calà is instead a Lombard punter who finds himself always in trouble and one day gets into really big trouble. In fact, he unwittingly sets himself against a group of thugs who answer only to the orders of a new boxing champion who is making the rounds in the area with his victories.
