Michelangelo La Neve (14 March 1959 – 18 January 2022) was an Italian comics writer and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Tarsia, in the province of Cosenza, La Neve grew up in Varese, and after graduating from high school he moved to Rome. He made his professional debut in the early 1990s writing comics stories mainly of horror genre for magazines such as ''Zio Tibia'', ''Splatter'', ''Blue'' and ''Mostri''. After writing the miniseries ''ESP'' for the magazine ''Intrepido'', between 1992 and 2006 he collaborated with Sergio Bonelli Editore, as a writer for the comic book series ''Dylan Dog'' and '' Martin Mystère''. In later years he focused his activity on graphic novels (notably ''Day of the Magicians'', illustrated by ), and started collaborating as a screenwriter with Manetti Bros. for the TV-series ''L'ispettore Coliandro'' and ''Inspector Rex'' and for the films ''Song'e Napule, Ammore e malavita'' and ''Diabolik''. ''Inspector Rex'' (German: ''Kommissar Rex''; Italian: ''Il commissario Rex'') is an Austrian-Italian police procedural comedy-drama television series created by Peter Hajek and Peter Moser. Andrea Pazienza (; 23 May 1956 – 16 June 1988), was an Italian comics artist and painter. Biography Early life Pazienza was born in San Benedetto del Tronto, province of Ascoli Piceno, in 1956. Growing up in his father's town of San Severo in Apulia, he enrolled in 1974 at the Department of Arts, Music, and Entertainment of the University of Bologna. Career He made his debut in the spring of 1977 in the magazine ''Alteralter'' with his first comic story, "Le straordinarie avventure di Pentothal" (Pentothal's extraordinary adventures), the surrealistic and psychedelic story of an alter ego named after the sedative Penthothal.
