Michaela Steiger
Michaela Steiger (born 1964) is a German Actor, actress for theatre, film and television. Steiger was born in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and completed her acting training in New York with Susan Batson (Actors Studio) and Herbert Berghof. Her first permanent engagement was in Theater Basel where she worked under the direction of Frank Baumbauer with the directors (Schiller's ''Don Carlos (play), Don Carlos''), , Frank Castorf (Sophokles’ Ajax (play), Aias) and Barbara Frey (after Sylvia Plath ''Ich kann es besonders schön''). Then she moved to the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus from 1993 to 1996. She became a member of the ensemble of the Schaubühne in Berlin under director Thomas Ostermeier. Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Garmisch-Partenkirchen (; Bavarian: ''Garmasch-Partakurch''), nicknamed Ga-Pa, is an Alpine ski town in Bavaria, southern Germany. It is the seat of government of the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen (abbreviated ''GAP''), in the Oberbayern region, which borders Austria. The Schauspiel Frankfurt is the municipal theatre company for plays in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. It is part of Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt. History In the late 1770s the theatre principal Abel Seyler was based in Frankfurt, and established the city's theatrical life. Opened in 1782, the ''Comoedienhaus'' (comedy house) was the first permanent venue of the Frankfurt theatre, both plays and opera (drama and opera). Its traditional house, the Schauspielhaus, built in 1902 by architect Heinrich Seeling at the Theaterplatz (now Willy-Brandt-Platz) was destroyed in World War II. Martin Kušej (born 14 May 1962) is an Austrian theatre and opera director, and is director of the Burgtheater Vienna. According to German news magazine Focus, Kušej belongs to the ten most important theatre directors who have emerged in the German-speaking world since the millennium. The Residence Theatre (in German: Residenztheater) or New Residence Theatre (Neues Residenztheater) of the Residence in Munich was built from 1950 to 1951 by Karl Hocheder. The renovation of 1981 by Alexander von Branca removed the decoration which had been done in the typical style of the early 1950s.
