Michael James Williamson (born 8 November 1983) is an English professional football manager and player who plays as a centre back. He is the player-manager of club Gateshead. Club career Early career Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Williamson played six first-team games for Torquay United before joining Southampton in November 2001 for an initial fee believed to be in the region of £100,000. However, Williamson was unable to get into the first team at Southampton. He returned to Plainmoor on loan for two months in September 2003, where he made 11 further appearances. A further loan spell at Doncaster Rovers—then Third Division leaders—followed on transfer deadline day in March 2004, although he did not feature for the South Yorkshire club. Michael Williamson (Australian Unionist)
Michael Alexander Williamson (born 26 June 1953) is an Australian former trade union official implicated in the Health Services Union of Australia (HSU) expenses scandal. In October 2013 Williamson pleaded guilty to two charges of fraud totaling nearly 1 million, one charge of fabricating invoices and another charge of recruiting others to hinder a police investigation. The same day that he pleaded guilty, Williamson declared himself bankrupt. An earlier independent report commissioned by the union detailed that companies associated with Williamson and his family had allegedly fraudulently received more than $5 million from the union in period from 2006 to 2011. In the District Court of New South Wales in March 2014, Williamson was sentenced to sevenandahalf years of imprisonment; with a nonparole period of five years. Michael Williamson (born 1957) is an American photojournalist. He has won two Pulitzer Prizes. Of the books he has made with writer Dale Maharidge while both men were on the staff of the ''Sacramento Bee,'' '' And Their Children After Them'' won the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 1990 and ''Journey to Nowhere: The Saga of the New Underclass'' was credited by singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen as an inspiration for two songs from his album ''The Ghost of Tom Joad'', "Youngstown" and " The New Timer". In 1993, Williamson became a staff photographer for ''The Washington Post''. Photos he took on assignment in Kosovo, along with the work of Post colleagues Carol Guzy and Lucian Perkins, led to Williamson's share of another Pulitzer in 2000. Orphaned at an early age, Williamson grew up in a series of foster homes, a circumstance to which he attributes his interest in the poor and the downtrodden.
