The Green Party of Vancouver, founded in 1984, is a municipal political party in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is affiliated with both the provincial Green Party of British Columbia and the federal Green Party of Canada. Pete Fry is a Canadian politician and business owner in Vancouver, British Columbia, who has served as councillor on the Vancouver City Council since 2018. Rebecca Bligh is a Canadian politician, who was elected to Vancouver City Council in the 2018 Vancouver municipal election. First elected as a member of the Non-Partisan Association, she left the party in 2019 claiming its ideology was driving towards the "far-right" following the election of its new executive. Adriane Carr
Adriane Carr (born 1952) is a Canadian academic, activist and politician with the Green Party in British Columbia and Canada. She is also a councillor on Vancouver City Council. She was a founding member and the Green Party of British Columbia's first spokesperson (leader) from 1983 to 1985. In 1993 the Party formally established the position of "Leader".
