Michael White (born 5 July 1991) is a Welsh professional snooker player from Neath, Glamorgan. Nicknamed ‘Lightning’ due to his fast playing style, White is a former top 16 player and two-time ranking event winner. A highly rated junior, he became the youngest player to have made a century break in competitive play aged 9, and won the World Amateur Championship at 14. White won his first ranking event at the 2015 Indian Open, before breaking into the top 16 during the 2015-16 season and capturing his second ranking title at the 2017 Paul Hunter Classic. White's form started to decline in the 2018-19 season however, eventually leading to him dropping off the professional tour in 2020. He regained his tour card in 2022 by qualifying for the 2022 Snooker World Championship, becoming only the second amateur ever to qualify for the tournament in the process. Michael White (born November 29, 1954 in New Orleans) is a jazz clarinetist, bandleader, composer, jazz historian and musical educator. Jazz critic Scott Yanow said in a review that White "displays the feel and spirit of the best New Orleans clarinetists". Early life White was raised Catholic Church, Catholic in New Orleans (by a father who was a Knights of Peter Claver, Knight of Peter Claver), and attended a number of Black Catholicism, Black Catholic schools in the city, including Saint Francis de Sales, Holy Ghost, and St Joan of Arc. While at the latter school, he studied clarinet and played in his first parade. Career White is a classically trained musician who began his jazz musical career as a teenager playing for Doc Paulin's Brass Band in New Orleans. Michael White (29 December 1948 – 4 April 2008) was an Australian social worker and family therapist. He is known as the founder of narrative therapy, and for his significant contribution to psychotherapy and family therapy, which have been a source of techniques adopted by other approaches. Biography Michael Kingsley White was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. His first professional job was as a probation and welfare worker. He earned an undergraduate social work degree from the University of South Australia in 1979 and worked as a psychiatric social worker at the Adelaide Children's Hospital. Michael White (born 1953) is an Irish judge who served as a judge of the High Court between 2011 and 2021 and a judge of the Circuit Court between 1996 and 2011. He was formerly a politician and solicitor and was one of the first solicitors to be appointed the Irish judiciary. Early career White was born in Carndonagh, County Donegal. His father Michael was a solicitor. He attended St Patrick's Boys' National School, Carndonagh Boys Secondary School and Gormanston College. Michael Simon White (16 January 1936 – 7 March 2016) was a British theatrical impresario and film producer. White was responsible for 101 stage productions and 27 films over 50 years. Early life Michael White was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Victor White, a merchant who ran a glove making business, and Doris (née Cohen), a property developer. His parents were from Eastern European Jewish backgrounds. As White suffered from asthma as a boy, his parents decided he would be educated as a boarder at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz in Switzerland from age 7, where he was the only boy who did not speak the French language. Michael White (born March 25, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played his first two years of college football at South Florida and his last two at Western Kentucky. White was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, where he spent one season, before joining the Jets the following year. James Michael White (born August 11, 1957) is an American college football coach and former professional player. He served as head football coach at Albany State University (ASU) in Albany, Georgia from 2000 to 2014 and Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina from 2015 to 2019.
