Michael Weyman
Michael Weyman (born 13 September 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. Weyman is the older brother of former Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks player, Tim Weyman. Playing career Born in Moruya, New South Wales, Weyman played his junior football for the Moruya Sharks. While attending Carroll College in 2001 and Erindale College in 2002, Weyman was selected for the Australian Schoolboys team and was captain of the team. In 2002 and 2003, Weyman was selected for the Junior Kangaroos team and played for the New South Wales U19s in 2003. National Rugby League Weyman was signed by the Canberra Raiders. In round 10 of the 2003 NRL season he made his NRL debut for Canberra against the Penrith Panthers. In May 2008, Weyman signed a two-year deal with the St. George Illawarra Dragons starting in 2009, despite being offered a one-year extension with the Raiders. Moruya is a town located on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia, situated on the Moruya River. The Princes Highway runs through the town that is about south of Sydney and from Canberra. Wayne Bennett (rugby League)
Wayne James Bennett AM (born 1 January 1950), also known by the nickname "Benny", is an Australian professional rugby league coach who was signed in late 2021 for three years by the Dolphins in readiness and preparation for their inaugural 2023 season in the National Rugby League competition. He was previously the head coach of the South Sydney Rabbitohs among other clubs, and a former rugby league footballer. Widely regarded as one of the sport's greatest ever coaches, Bennett holds Australian rugby league coaching records for the most (7) grand final wins and most seasons with a single club (24 with the Brisbane Broncos). The Wigan Warriors are a professional rugby league club in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, which competes in the Super League. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. 2010 NRL Grand Final
The 2010 NRL Grand Final was the conclusive and premiership-deciding game of the 2010 NRL season. Played on Sunday, 3 October at Sydney's ANZ Stadium, the match was contested by the St. George Illawarra Dragons and the Sydney Roosters. It was the first time the two sides met in a grand final. They had played each other twice before during the season, with St. George Illawarra winning on both occasions. St. George Illawarra finished the season as minor premiers as they had the previous season. The Roosters were the previous year's wooden-spooners and only after playing and winning for five consecutive weeks were able to reach the 2010 decider. In the grand final, St. George Illawarra trailed by two points at halftime, but broke the shackles in the second half, keeping the Roosters scoreless while adding 26 points to their score. 2010 State Of Origin Series
The 2010 State of Origin series was the 29th annual best-of-three series of interstate rugby league football matches between the Queensland and New South Wales representative teams played entirely under 'state of origin' selection rules. For the second year in a row, a Queensland victory set a new record for consecutive State of Origin titles, reaching five. Queensland won all three matches, completing their first series white-wash since 1995. New Zealand National Rugby League Team
The New Zealand national rugby league team ( Māori: Tīma rīki motu Aotearoa) has represented New Zealand in rugby league since 1907. Docklands Stadium, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Docklands area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
