Michael Timpson
Michael Dwain Timpson (born June 6, 1967) is a former American football player and sprinter. Early life Timpson was a track star and multi-sport athlete at Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School in Hialeah, Florida from 1981 to 1985. He won seven track and field titles in high school. Four of those titles were won his senior year at the same track meet. He recorded three state records that day. He was an All-American in track and football. NFL He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round (100th overall), 14th WR of the 1989 NFL Draft, and played for them from 1989 to 1994. He played with the Chicago Bears in 1995 and 1996, and finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1997. He retired in 1999. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint. Similarly to other sprint distances, the 200 m begins from the starting blocks. When the sprinters adopt the 'set' position in the blocks they are able to adopt a more efficient starting posture and isometrically preload their muscles. This enables them to stride forwards more powerfully when the race begins and start faster.
