Michael Thomas (actor)
Michael Thomas (11 April 1952 – 4 March 2019) was a British theatre actor, who worked on the English stage and screen for the past forty years. His career saw him work for the Old Vic, the National Theatre, and the RSC on numerous occasions. He also appeared on television, e.g. in ''Inspector Morse'', episode "Ghost in the Machine", as John McKendrick and also in the '' Endeavour'' episode "Sway" as Rufus Haldane. Thomas toured in Sam Mendes' production of ''As You Like It'' and ''The Tempest'', playing to theatres in New York, China, Singapore, Germany, Holland, Paris, Madrid, London and Greece (Epidaurus). Westcliff-on-Sea
Westcliff-on-Sea (often abbreviated to Westcliff) is an inner city area of the city of Southend-on-Sea, in the City of Southend-on-Sea, in the ceremonial county of Essex, England. It is on the north shore of the lower Thames Estuary, about 34 miles (55 km) east of London. Geography The cliffs formed by erosion of the local quaternary geology give views over the Thames Estuary towards the Kent coastline to the south. The coastline has been transformed into sandy beaches through the use of groynes and imported sand. The estuary at this point has extensive mud flats. At low tide, the water typically retreats some 600 m from the beach, leaving the mud flats exposed. Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, (Henry William Frederick Albert; 31 March 1900 – 10 June 1974) was the third son and fourth child of King George V and Queen Mary. National Theatre Live
National Theatre Live is an initiative operated by the Royal National Theatre in London, which broadcasts live via satellite, performances of their productions (and from other theatres) to cinemas and arts centres around the world. About I grew up in Manchester in the 60s. If I had been able to see Olivier's National Theatre at my local cinema, I would have gone all of the time. :— Nicholas Hytner, director of the Royal National Theatre. The programme began its pilot season in June 2009 with a production of ''Phèdre'', starring Helen Mirren, which screened live in 70 cinemas across the UK. Two hundred more venues eventually showed the production internationally, resulting in a combined audience of around 50,000 people for this one performance. Stoke Newington is an area occupying the north-west part of the London Borough of Hackney in north-east London, England. It is northeast of Charing Cross.
