Michael Stevens (footballer)
Michael Stevens (born 7 November 1980) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Port Adelaide and the Kangaroos in the Australian Football League (AFL). Stevens was a member the Murray Bushrangers inaugural TAC Cup premiership in 1998 and was voted 'Best on Ground' in the Grand Final victory over the Geelong Falcons. On the back of his performances at Under-18 level, Stevens was the fifth player picked in the 1998 AFL draft. A wingman, he was unable to hold on to a spot in the Port Adelaide team although he did participate in their 2002 Wizard Cup triumph. He joined his elder brother Anthony Stevens at the Kangaroos in 2003, after being traded for Stuart Cochrane. Stevens was a regular in the side throughout 2004 and missed just two games, polling his first and only Brownlow Medal votes when he was awarded three for a performance against Carlton. Murray Bushrangers
The Murray Bushrangers is an Australian rules football team playing in Victorian statewide under-18s competition, presently known as the NAB League, since 1993 based in Wangaratta. The team trains on Norm Minns Oval. The team is coached by Mark Brown (football coach), Mark Brown. Guernsey colours are Black, Purple and Yellow, with black socks and black (home) or white (away) shorts. Goulburn Valley Football League
The Goulburn Valley Football Netball League is an Australian rules football and netball competition based in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, Australia. It is a member of the Victorian Country Football League and has won the Victorian Country Football Championships in 2003 and 2005. History The league was initially called the Goulburn Valley District Football Association(GVDFA) and dates back to May, 1893. Clubs from the townships of Kyabram, Mooroopna, Nagambie, Nathalia, Numurkah, Shepparton, Shepparton Ramblers, Tatura, Undera and Wunghnu were present at the inaugural meeting. Ovens And Murray Football League
The Ovens and Murray Football Netball League (O&MFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing ten clubs based in north-eastern Victoria, the southern Riverina region of New South Wales and the Ovens and Murray area. The name comes from the Ovens River, the river in the part of north-eastern Victoria covered by the league, and the Murray River, which separates Victoria and New South Wales. The league features three grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade and Under 18s. In the netball competition, there are four grades, with these being A-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade and Under 16s. Currently a home and away season consisting of eighteen rounds is played. Stuart Cochrane
Stuart Cochrane (born 20 July 1978) is a former Australian Football League (AFL) and South Australian National Football League (SANFL) footballer who played for the North Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Central District Football Clubs. After being delisted at the end of 2005, Cochrane played for Central District in the SANFL before retiring from football after playing in a losing 2006 Grand Final side.
