Michael Schär
Michael Schär (born 29 September 1986) is a Switzerland, Swiss professional Road bicycle racing, road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Born in Geuensee, Schär has competed in thirteen Grand Tours during his career, and was the winner of the Swiss National Road Race Championships in 2013. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. His father Roland Schär was also an Olympic cyclist. 2012 Critérium Du Dauphiné
The 2012 Critérium du Dauphiné was the sixty-fourth running of the Critérium du Dauphiné cycling stage race; a race rated as a World Tour event on the UCI calendar, the highest classification such an event can have. The race consisted of eight stages, beginning with a prologue in Grenoble on 3 June, and concluded in Châtel on 10 June. The race was organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation, the same group that organises the Tour de France. It was viewed as a great preparation for July's Tour de France, hence why a majority of the contenders for the general classification of the major tour participated in the Dauphiné. It featured mountainous stages as well as an individual time trial quite similar in length to those that awaited the riders in the Tour. 2013 Tour Of Utah
The 2013 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is the tenth edition of the Tour of Utah. Once again, the race was included on the UCI America Tour, with a UCI classification of UCI race classifications, 2.1. As such, the race is only open to teams on the UCI Pro Tour, UCI Professional Continental and UCI Continental circuits. The race took place between August 6–11, 2013 as a six-day, six-stage race, with some major differences to the prior editions, such as the elimination of the prologue, individual time trial, or team time trial. The 2013 Tour of Utah was one of six UCI-ranked stage races in the United States in 2013. After finishing high overall in previous editions, American Tom Danielson of won the overall title. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time. Where a TTT is part of a stage race, it is necessary for each rider to be given a finish time that can be cumulated into the general classification timings. 2013 Tour Of Qatar
The 2013 Tour of Qatar was the twelfth edition of the Tour of Qatar cycling stage race. It was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Asia Tour, and was held between 3 and 8 February 2013, in Qatar. The race was won by Britain's Mark Cavendish, of the team, winning the final four stages to take the victory. Cavendish's winning margin over runner-up Brent Bookwalter () – the winners of the team time trial stage – was 25 seconds, and Brookwalter's teammate Taylor Phinney completed the podium, one second behind Brookwalter and 26 seconds down on Cavendish.
