Michael Schofield (American Football)
Michael Ross Schofield III (born November 15, 1990) is an American football offensive guard for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan. Early life and education Schofield was born in Orland Park, Illinois. Schofield's father, Michael Schofield II, is a local fire chief. Schofield liked baseball as a youth, but tagged along with his younger brother, Andrew, who liked to play football. He started to compete in football in sixth grade for the Orland Park Pioneers. In seventh grade, he played wide receiver and linebacker. As a sophomore at Sandburg High School, he became a lineman. Michael Schofield is a former US college lacrosse player and current coach. He is the head coach of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Nation (MI, USA) and volunteers his time as an assistant coach at Portage Central High School (MI, USA). Background Schofield moved from his hometown of Portage, Michigan, when he was 10 years old with his parents Gregory and Charlene Schofield and older brother Andrew Schofield to Mendham, New Jersey, where he was first introduced to the game of lacrosse. As a child, Schofield played from 5th grade through his senior year in high school, whereupon his graduation, he committed to Hope College (Holland, MI). As a high school senior, he and his team won a Division II New Jersey state championship against Princeton High School in 2010. Michael Schofield (water Polo)
Michael Schofield was the head coach for the water polo team of the United States Naval Academy from 1985 to 2013. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Schofield was captain of that school's water polo team. He joined the staff of the Naval Academy in 1982, and was promoted to the head coach's position in 1985. Under his direction, the team has won the CWPA's Eastern Division championship six times, and played in the NCAA tournament eleven times. He was named National Coach of the Year in 2004. He retired from coaching in the fall of 2013. Michael George Schofield (24 June 1919 – 27 March 2014) was a pioneer of social research into homosexuality in the 1950s and 1960s, and a campaigner for the Homosexual Law Reform Society at a time before the Sexual Offences Act 1967 partially decriminalised homosexual activity in the UK. He played a prominent role in the law reform lobbies of the 1960s and 1970s. He is the author of many books including ''Sociological Aspects of Homosexuality'' (1965) and ''The Sexual Behaviour of Young People'' (1965).
