Michael Rensing
Michael Rensing (born 14 May 1984) is a German former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He has played for Bayern Munich, 1. FC Köln, Bayer Leverkusen and Fortuna Düsseldorf. Club career Early career Born to a German father and a Serbian mother, Rensing joined Bayern in 2000 from TuS Lingen, and went on to develop his talent in the club's youth sides. He made two appearances for the reserve side in the 2001–02 season and spending the 2002–03 season in the Regionalliga Süd, making 34 league appearances and a cup appearance, and won a place in the UEFA Champions League squad at the start of the following campaign as he moved up the Bayern pecking order to become Oliver Kahn's deputy. Hans-Jörg Butt (; born 28 May 1974) is a German former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Known for taking penalty kicks, and for often running into the opposing penalty box in an attempt to find a winner whenever his team were trailing, he scored 26 goals in the Bundesliga. 2007–08 FC Bayern Munich Season
Prior to the beginning of the 2007–08 season, Bayern Munich underwent a major restructuring of the team, releasing or retiring nine players while adding ten others to the squad, most notably Luca Toni and Franck Ribéry.
