Michael Potter
Michael Potter (born 24 September 1963) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who is the interim head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League, and a former professional rugby league footballer. He was previously head coach of Super League clubs, the Catalans Dragons, St Helens, the Bradford Bulls and National Rugby League club the Wests Tigers. As a player, he was a New South Wales State of Origin representative , playing his club football for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (with whom he won the 1984 and 1985 premierships), the St George Dragons (whom he captained, and won the 1991 Dally M Medal with) and the Western Reds. Michael Potter (February 27, 1924 – June 18, 2013) was an American physician and immunologist. He won the Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Prize for outstanding contributions to medical research in 1983, and the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research in 1984, for "his fundamental research in the genetics of immunoglobulin molecules and for paving the way for the development of hybridomas and monoclonal antibodies". Potter was born February 27, 1924, in East Orange, New Jersey to Thomas Potter, a lawyer, and Mavis Potter. He did not enter school until the 4th grade. Potter was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1981. Potter attended Princeton University for his undergraduates study, graduating in 1945. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1949. Michael Potter was a covenanter. He graduated from Edinburgh on 27 July 1663. He was licensed to preach the gospel in the year 1673. He was a tutor to the family of George, the Laird of Dunglass of that ilk. He was ordained by presbytery for the adherents in the parish of St. Ninians in 1673. He was elected a schoolmaster to Culross by the magistrates. This led to them being summoned before the Privy Council in 1677. Mike Potter (July 4, 1949 – October 31, 2022) was a NASCAR driver. He was born on July 4, 1949, and lived in Johnson City, Tennessee. Over the course of his Winston Cup Series career, Potter raced 60 races. Every season he raced was part-time. The most races he ran in a season was 11 in both 1983 and 1992. 1983 was his official year as a rookie, because he ran more than 8 races. His best career finish was a 15th at Nashville Speedway in 1981. In the early 2000s he ran a few races in the Busch Series, primarily for Means Racing during 2003. Potter attempted five races in 2004 for Johnny Davis Motorsports but only made two of them. Potter returned to the NASCAR Busch Series in 2007. He attempted two races in the #00 Chevrolet. Michael Gary Potter (born May 16, 1951) is an American former professional baseball outfielder who played from 1976 to 1977 for the St. Louis Cardinals. With no hits in 23 career at-bats, he is tied with Larry Littleton for the most career MLB at-bats by a non-pitcher without a hit. Career Originally drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 3rd round of the 1970 amateur draft, Potter chose not to sign. However, when he was drafted by the Cardinals out of Mount San Antonio College in the sixth round of the secondary phase of the 1971 amateur draft, he did sign. Potter made his major league debut on September 6, 1976, at the age of 25. Facing pitcher Steve Dunning, Potter went 0–3 with two strikeouts in his big league debut. In 16 at-bats in his first season, Potter did not collect a single hit. However, he did walk once. He appeared in only five games in 1977, collecting no hits in seven at-bats.
