Michael Plassmeyer
Michael Plassmeyer (born November 5, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies. Amateur career Plassmeyer attended De Smet Jesuit High School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He then attended the University of Missouri, where he played college baseball for the Missouri Tigers baseball, Missouri Tigers. During his sophomore year, Plassmeyer was removed from the starting rotation and ended the year with a 4.83 earned run average (ERA) and 54 strikeouts. After the season, he trained with Brian DeLunas, increasing the velocity of his fastball and improving his grip on his curveball. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Brian DeLunas
Brian DeLunas (May 3, 1975 – January 17, 2022) was an American baseball coach. He served as the bullpen coach of the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2018 and 2020, and as the pitching coach of the Missouri Tigers from 2021 until his death. Career DeLunas attended Oakville High School in Oakville, Missouri, and Missouri Baptist University, where he played college baseball for the Missouri Baptist Spartans. He served as the pitching coach for the Missouri Tigers of the University of Missouri from 2006 through 2009. The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. Jake Arnold Fraley (born May 25, 1995) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Seattle Mariners. Amateur career Fraley attended Caravel Academy in Bear, Delaware, where he played for their baseball team. Mallex Lydell Smith (born May 6, 1993) is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves in 2016, Tampa Bay Rays from 2017 to 2018, and Seattle Mariners from 2019 to 2020. Smith played college baseball at Santa Fe College. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB draft by the San Diego Padres. Michael Accorsi Zunino (born March 25, 1991) is an American professional baseball catcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays. Innings Pitched
In baseball, innings pitched (IP) are the number of innings a pitcher has completed, measured by the number of batters and baserunners that are put out while the pitcher is on the pitching mound in a game. Three outs made is equal to one inning pitched. One out counts as one-third of an inning, and two outs counts as two-thirds of an inning.
